On our "Discover the Islands" kayaking tour you'll explore beautiful Tofino shorelines and island channels while enjoying the breathtaking sights of Tofino's surrounding waterways. This is the perfect kayak tour if you only have a couple hours but still want to experience the scenery and wildlife Tofino is famous for.

On our "Discover the Rainforest" kayaking and walking tour, dip your paddle into the pristine sparkling waters of Clayoquot Sound on route to explore the Meares Island Tribal Parks “Big Tree Trail”. While on Meares you'll take a guided walk through the lush temperate rainforest to view ancient (1000+ year old!) red cedars and stand in awe amongst some of Canada's largest trees. On our "Clayoquot Explorer" motor boat assisted kayak tour, journey deep into the heart of the sound on this all day paddling adventure! There will be no-retracing your strokes on this trip as part of the adventure involves a pick up or drop off by motor boat; allowing you to explore new waters and spectacular scenery all day long.

During this kayaking tour our experienced guides will share their vast knowledge of the natural, cultural, and environmental history that has shaped Clayoquot Sound; while you get to explore and immerse yourself in an area so unique it's been designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. On our "Discover the Night" kayak tour, discover what it's like to gaze out upon a starlit night far away from the lights of populated urban areas. Depending on the time of year we may see bioluminescence that dance and sparkle the water green at the stroke of your paddle, or meteor showers lighting up the nights sky above. This unique kayaking tour is offered during select times of the year in Tofino.

Tofino - Photography Tours (Photography Focussed Kayaking Tours in Tofino)

Clayoquot Sound is a nature photographers paradise! Situated on the wild westcoast of Vancouver Island BC, the intact wilderness and abundance of life surrounding Tofino has made this area an increasingly popular destination for nature and wildlife photographers.

This year we have enlisted the help of professional photographer and local kayak guide Sander Jain for his expertise and photographic knowledge of the area to those looking to capture the perfect shot (http://www.sanderjain.com/photography). These tours are aimed at photographers of all levels and are tailored with a focus on shooting the nature and landscapes of the surrounding area. On your tour you will cover a variety of shots (landscape, macro, portrait) and explore different areas of the local environment (intertidal zone, temperate rainforest, marine based life etc). Basic instruction on how to photograph on the water, and how to get the most from your camera will be given prior to each tour.

Private photo. tours are also available for families, wedding groups or anyone looking to capture their west coast kayaking experience!
